GLS Conference Co-chair
The Playful Learning Summit, a one day event, and the GLS Conference,
a three-day event, are run back-to-back in summer. These nationally
prominent events are attended by over 500 people involved in games and
learning from across the country including game developers, education
researchers, teachers, publishers, and more.
This position will be responsible for working with Prof. Constance
Steinkuehler to plan all details of the event including recruiting
invited speakers, finding a suitable venue, determining catering needs,
recruiting and overseeing other conference staff, coordinating hotel
room blocks, managing the conference web site and conference registration,
and creating and staying within a budget.
This position requires exceptional organization skills and attention
to detail. Knowledge of national trends and leaders in the field of
educational games is preferred.
The position is a 50% Project Assistant position and begins August 1.
