Chris Blakesley is a doctoral student of educational technology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a focus on designing narrative-based interactive media for learning. His dissertation work focuses on the development of a generative template for building interactive cases in higher education.

Chris received his BFA in the media arts from Brigham Young University in 2004. His MS degree of Instructional Technology came from Utah State University in 2006. In addition to his dissertation work, Chris has helped establish the ARIS research project (arisgames.org), a web-based, open source engine that supports the creation of mobile media for learning. He also works with design teams as an instructional designer to develop simulations and games for higher education (engage.wisc.edu).
