Katie Clinton

Katherine Clinton received her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Games, Learning, and Society in 2006 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently is the educational consultant for the New Media Literacies project at MIT. Her research focuses on the new kinds of experiences videogames enable and, specifically, on how experiences of being-in-the-digital-world are both a new kind of writing and a new situation for learning. She has a specific interest in contributing to games research by bringing together an interdisciplinary approach for studying the ways videogames recruit players to enact prelinguistic ways of meaning-making.
