Peter Debbink

Peter Debbink is an undergraduate student from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is currently working on his B.S in Pharmacology and Toxicolgy, and intends to pursue a graduate degree in a similar field. He is also pursuing a certificate in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in interactive media. He's interested in how interactive media, especially video games, influences teaching styles, and currently is working with Kurt, Ben, Shree and Seann at an after-school program using Civilization III to teach a variety of topics such as history, politics and economics to middle-schoolers. His focus in the project is to understand and possibly design a curriculum based on the game that would be implemented in schools, along with observing the interactions that occur between the players in the game. He has been playing video games since he was about five years old, and continues to play them to this day. Some of his favorites include Starcraft, World of Warcraft, Halo and any Super Mario Bros. game ever.
