Chris Holden is a fourth year PhD student in Mathematics at UW-Madison. His area of study is Algebraic Number Theory. Currently, he is studying mod 4 Galois Representations.

When he's not doing or teaching math, he's trying to understand education or playing videogames. It was not until he met the GLS group that he knew these two interests could be mutually beneficial. He recently had the pleasure of working with other GLS students to modify Civilization III to be used as a resource for 4th grade Wisconsin history.

Chris hopes to learn why there have not yet been any good math games, and in the process, find out if games can help students learn and love math.
